The Canadian Corps of Voyageurs was on hand once again in support of this worthy cause. Check out the Relay for Life Thunder Bay page and see the summary results of this year’s event. It’s not too late to donate either!
Preparations are already being made for next year, June 14th 2013. What will you do to partcipate?
Ok, easy tiger … it’s Cancer we are supposed to be fighting!
Welcome to the new online presence of Canadian Corps of Voyageurs. We are a modern re-enactment unit based in Thunder Bay, Ontario Canada although our true home is at Fort William, Upper Canada – inland headquarters of the Northwest Company.
Posting on this site will be limited to Corps members for now but we will be opening the site up for public comment eventually.
Please return often and/or subscribe to our site so you might keep up with our exploits and perhaps meet up with us at a future event.
The Corps has been active since 1975 and most of our members have been active since inception. Collectively we have many experiences and much knowledge to share about living as a soldier, voyageur, and family member in the Northwest at the beginning of the 19th century. We intend to share much of our rich history here on this site as a resource for people interested in what we do and especially for new members. Yes, we are always recruiting.
Please be patient with us as we selectively add new content in the coming weeks and months describing past, current and future efforts as well as information about how you can get involved too!
The Canadian Corps of Voyageurs is proud to continue to give our support to The Canadian Cancer Society Relay For Life. It will be our honour to once again fire our salute and to lead out the cancer survivors in their victory lap.
Relay for Life Thunder Bay
